About

Move beyond basic conversation and develop more natural, accurate English for everyday life and work. This intermediate English course combines 20 structured lessons with speaking, listening, grammar, writing and practical projects. Who this course is for Choose this course if you can already manage simple conversations and want to explain ideas more clearly, understand natural speech and communicate more confidently at work. If basic questions and everyday sentence patterns still feel difficult, begin with Mastering Everyday English Fluency. What you will practise • Tell stories, explain opinions and build a clear argument. • Choose tenses and modal verbs more accurately, report speech and connect ideas. • Understand connected speech and use useful idioms, phrasal verbs and collocations. • Write professional emails, take part in meetings and deliver structured presentations. Your course pathway Start Here helps you plan your study. Module 1 — Natural Speaking & Expression: explore idioms, spontaneous role-play, persuasion, storytelling and more complex grammar. Module 2 — Grammar, Accuracy & Cohesion: improve through feedback and revision, present perfect and past simple, modals, reported speech and linking ideas. Module 3 — Natural & Professional Communication: practise phrasal verbs, natural listening and pronunciation, professional emails and workplace interaction. Module 4 — Real-World Communication & Projects: solve travel and service problems, discuss ideas, summarise information and present an integrated project. Finish with the final assessment and answer guide. Try a sample: experience and finished time Lesson 7 contrasts “I’ve visited Rome three times” with “I visited Rome last April.” Use the present perfect to introduce an experience without a specific finished time. Use the past simple to give the finished-time detail. Try completing: “I ___ Rome last April.” Answer: “visited”. Now write one life-experience sentence and follow it with a sentence saying when it happened. How you will learn Use clear explanations, narrated audio, guided practice and checkpoints to apply each topic. Four milestone quizzes and a final assessment help you decide what to review. There are 27 steps: 20 lessons, a Start Here guide, four module quizzes, the final assessment and its answer guide. Practical questions Do I need to finish the Beginner course first?
